Kadir López Nieves was born in Las Tunas, Cuba, and started his neon practice after years of drawing and painting many of the commercial signs. From 2014-2020 he has created and restored over 100 public neon signs in the city of Havana. Skilled in watercolor and acrylic, Kadir is an artist known for the creativity and individuality of his installations, as well as for the use of non-traditional artistic media.
