Dr. J.T. Miguel Acido was born in the Philippines and grew up in Hawaii. He is a student of popular education, liberation theology and  indigenous pedagogy. Dr. Miguel Acido is passionate about developing the next generation of  leaders who care for the Land and the people.  He is grateful for the International Hotel Manilatown Center for inspiring him to dig deeper into his Ilokano-Filipino roots.  These days he loves spending time with his 4-year-old daughter and partner.
