Paulo Barata and Rita Múrias live in Lisbon, Portugal where they developed the Letreiro Galeria Project (Lettering Gallery Project), a collection and preservation work of old industrial and commercial sign letterings, with the goal of making a museum. Paulo Barata is a graphic/editorial designer. is a graphic designer/publisher. He has worked in several magazines as a designer and art editor since 1993. He was the editor and art director of Diário de Notícias, a national daily newspaper, from 1998 to 2008. Rita has developed works for book publishers, music and show producers and some works together with Paulo Barata. For several years she collaborated with Atelier Henrique Cayatte, and specialized in designing book covers. She is currently a PhD student in Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon. IG @letreirogaleria
